Aimersoft bows DVD-to-iPad software

Chinese software manufacturer Aimersoft Studio said it has developed a program to allow both encrypted and non-encrypted DVDs to be played on the Apple iPad.

The iPad does not have a disc drive and is seen as a vehicle to drive downloads via the iTunes Store and other internet sites but the $29.95 software is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems and will allow users to move their DVD collections to the tablet computer.
