ChoicesUK revamps its convenience operations
Home entertainment wholesaler ChoicesUK said it will streamline its convenience rental offer with the possible loss of six sales jobs from its 350-strong workforce.
The company, owned by home shopping and educational supplies firm Findel, said it was in the process of restructuring its convenience business with a new model for rental that is “more technology driven and allows us to manage our accounts more centrally”.
A spokesman said there was a growing emphasis on central reporting and that the availability of live time transactional data reduced the need for store visits.
“We don’t need as many people visiting stores checking what’s been rented or sold and we’re beefing up telesales. The technology is being tested at the moment for our new rental model so we’re making some cost savings ahead of that being implemented. It’s at the consultation stage,” he said.
